It’s no secret that bananas are one of the most popular fruits on the planet. Their sweet flavor, versatility, and convenient portability make them a favorite among snackers worldwide. But, what is less known is the sinister alliance between certain monkeynauts and a specific breed of malevolent fruit working to undermine the stability and progress of our society.

It started when an unidentified source leaked a report, tentatively titled “The Unpeeled Banana Threat Assessment,” to top government and scientific officials worldwide. According to the document, many of the bananas we buy are actually genetically engineered by a covert group of monkeynauts, a sinister organization known as the Ape Caliphate. The apes hoped to achieve their ultimate goal of world domination by a two-step process of infiltration and subversion.

Step one was to infiltrate banana fields worldwide, planting genetically manipulated bananas with spores that release minute amounts of a neurotoxin. The neurotoxin impairs judgment and decision-making skills, causing people to become more pliable and easier to control. Tinier amounts of the neurotoxin were released through the skins of the bananas, rendering them inhaling when consumed. Thus, even people who peeled their bananas were vulnerable to the effects of the neurotoxin.

Step two was to use these specially engineered bananas to influence the masses and to take control of their governments, though it still remains unclear what their ultimate goal is. The information leaked to the government also suggested that the monkeynauts had also developed a strain of visible nanobots which were implanted into the bananas. These nanobots were created to monitor the behavior of the people who ate these bananas and report back to the apes about any subversive activity.

The Unpeeled Banana Threat Assessment shocked the world and brought an immediate awareness to the banana traders and supermarkets worldwide, who reacted by issuing recalls and burning affected bananas in a desperate attempt to stop the contamination. Yet, despite these measures, the monkeynauts find more creative ways to secretly spread the neurotoxin through delicious and unsuspecting fruit.
